My Steps to Success Guide – Making Your GDI Promo Page (Free)

Hello and welcome back. Here we are going to look at how to set up you free promo page using your own website.

But first, if you somehow stumbled onto this page from Google, you will have no idea why this is here. Click on this link to find out what Global Domains international is all about. Hopefully, you will join me and start to build a steady online income.

Right. Let’s get back to why we are here. I am going to make some assumptions here. Firstly, you have your own website and, secondly, you know what you are doing. If you don’t understand this explanation, I strongly recommend you go back to the guide for using All 4 Webs and use that. It will be a lot easier for you, and you will be adding an extra income to your online portfolio.

To do this, you will need to use Notepad ++ as we will be saving the files we create as an html page. If you do not have Notepad ++, you can download it from here.

Right, now all you need to do is remind yourself of the two promo page choices that you have. This promo page has no text, this one has text.

Once you have decided which one you want to use, you need the code. The code for the promo page with no text is here and the promo text code with text is here.

Now, copy the code into a Notepad ++ file. Don’t do anything clever here; just copy it.

Now you need to replace my GDI ID with yours. Click ‘Ctrl + f’ and type in ‘gdigiles’. Click ‘Find Next’ and replace my GDI with yours. There are three GDI IDs you need to replace in the promo page without text and four in the page with text.

Now save it using a name that’s appropriate. You can use your GDI ID if you have GDI in it like I do. If not, ‘gdipromopage’ would work nicely. Whatever you decide, make sure there are no spaces as this will be a webpage. Make sure you save it as an html file as well.

Now you need to open Filezilla (or whatever ftp access program you use) and log in to your website. Now, transfer the promo page you have created into your root file. You do NOT need to place it in a folder. It will work but if you do, you just make the web address longer, which is unnecessary.

And there you have it. The address for your promo page will be “http://yourdomain.com/yourpromopage”. You can use that address to promote your GDI link.

Remember, if any of that is confusing and you can’t do it, then it would be better that you use All 4 Webs following this guide.

Mind you, having said that, this is a piece of knowledge you should have just in case any of your own downline have their own website and want to go down the free route. Or you could just send them to this webpage after they have signed up under you.

Ok, I am now going to assume that you are completely set up promo page-wise and that we are ready to move on to the next guide, which you can find here.
